There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Gara: Page 3, line 1: Insert new paragraphs to read: "(5) must identify whether total state, federal and local oil or gas tax rates are comparable to or different from the average rate charged around the world, in North American jurisdictions, and in other comparable jurisdictions; (6) may include recommendations on whether changes in oil or gas laws are needed to promote production, exploration, and maximum long term revenue from Alaska's oil and gas resources;" Renumber the following paragraph accordingly. Representative Gara moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Cissna moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. Representative Hawker objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 2 be adopted?"
